Rosie Fantom has been hired by Barnett Waddingham from Scottish Widows as a bulk annuity consultant to its corporate consulting team.
Fantom was previously a senior manager at Scottish Widows where she was a founding member of their bulk annuity business, writing around £4bn of business since 2015, including transactions with high profile companies including Hitachi, Barloworld and Greene King. She also supervised bulk annuity insurers at the PRA and helped set up LCP’s streamlined bulk annuity offering.
Fantom says: “As pension schemes mature and the bulk annuity space continues to grow and innovate, we have the opportunity to offer even more in-depth, specialised services for our current and new clients. Barnett Waddingham’s bulk-annuity offering is continuously adapting and evolving alongside the industry and I am joining at a time of increased activity and interest in this market. From a personal stand-point, I am excited to be part of a team that is so focused on providing the right outcomes for its clients.”
Barnett Waddingham head of corporate consulting Nick Griggs says: “Rosie joins us at a time of significant growth for Barnett Waddingham, as client demand for a number of our services continues to increase.
“Rosie’s bulk annuity and de-risking expertise is highly regarded within the industry. Her insurer side experience in particular will strengthen the development and delivery of our bulk-annuity offering to corporate and trustee clients.”
