Aviva Investors has appointed former Andy Seed to the newly created role of head of DC solutions.
In this new role Seed will help develop the company’s offering in the DC market, and will work across different parts of the Aviva group to ensure collaboration between Aviva Investors, Aviva’s Workplace Pensions team and its broader UK savings & retirement unit, part of the Investment, Savings and Retirement division.
Seed has spent the last year working with Aviva on a consultancy basis. Prior to this he was the head of distribution for Scottish Widows’ £22.5bn workplace savings unit, within Lloyds Banking Group. He has also held senior positions with JP Morgan Asset Management, KPMG, Deloitte and Mercer.
In this new role he will be based in London and report to Aviva’s chief investment officer Al Denholm.
Denholm says: “With the proportion of pension assets in defined contribution strategies continuing to accelerate, supporting savers in planning and investing for their retirement is increasingly important.
“Andy has a great deal of experience in the UK retirement industry and an extensive knowledge of the DC sector. He will play a key role as we continue to bring together expertise from across the group and expand our presence in the market.”
