B&CE, the company behind The People’s Pension, has expanded its senior executive team by appointing Nigel Rodgers to be its new chief information officer.
Rodgers joins from Curtis Bank, where he was group chief information officer and let the successful acquisition of the fintech company Dunstan Thomas. He has worked in financial services for 20 years, holding senior roles at Legal & General, Cofunds, and Suffolk Life.
Rodgers will lead the IT function at B&CE and help drive its digital agenda as the organisation looks for new ways to enhance the customer experience through digitalisation.
This is seen as a crucial way for the The People’s Pension to enhance its value proposition. The master trust is one of the largest and currently provides a pension to 1 in 5 UK workers.
Patrick Heath-Lay, chief executive of B&CE says: “With the impending introduction of pensions dashboards, Nigel and his team will be pivotal to B&CE’s journey towards offering our 5.8 million members an improved digital experience.”
