Chloe Smith is no longer the Secretary of State at the Department of Work & Pensions.
This move comes as the new prime minister Rishi Sunak starts his cabinet reshuffle.
Smith, was only appointed to the role on September 6 – after Liz Truss became the prime minister. She confirmed she will now move to the back benches. Previously she was a minister for disabled people within the department.
Smith has been the MP for Norwich North since July 2009. It has yet to be announced who will replace her as secretary of state at the DWP.
