Guy Opperman MP has returned to the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) as minister of state but his position is yet to be confirmed.
Meanwhile, Alex Burghart has left his position as minister for pensions and growth.
In a Tweet, Opperman said: “Delighted to be appointed by HM The King as Minister of State at DWP in the PM’s new Government Rishi Sunak. Lots of work to do and I look forward to working with the new Secretary of State Mel J Stride”
Burghart said he was “sad to be leaving” but was “very glad to be handing back to the very great Guy Opperman.”
In addition to Opperman, Tom Pursglove has also been named as minister, and Sevenoaks MP Laura Trott has been named the department’s parliamentary under-secretary of state.
Opperman, the longest-serving pensions minister, left his role as pensions minister for the second time last month following a reshuffle under former prime minister Liz Truss.
