Maxis Global Benefits Network (Maxis GBN) has appointed David Schupak as its global relationship management director.
He formerly served as the team leader for the business development teams for Western Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (WEMEA). He will continue reporting to Paul Lewis, chief business development officer at Maxis GBN.
Schupak will be in charge of the inbound business development strategy for Maxis GBN, manage connections with both international and regional brokers and intermediaries, and collaborate closely with Dr. Leena Johns to advance the global health and wellness business development strategy.
Schupak has more than 25 years of professional experience in the worldwide employee benefits sector. He began his career with AIG in 1998 in New York and Peru, continued for a number of years in both Europe and Latin America, and then switched to Maxis GBN in 2010.
Schupak says: “I’m delighted to be taking on this new role. I’m very much looking forward to building on already strong relationships with our network, intermediaries and wellness partners. Developing and maintaining these relationships is an extremely rewarding part of the job and I’m excited to continue working with the amazing people I’ve known for more than a decade while building new partnerships with those I’ve not had the chance to work with yet.”
Maxis GBN chief business development officer Paul Lewis says: “Our WEMEA team has gone from strength to strength under David’s leadership and I want to thank him for all his work in taking the team to such heights. I’m confident that David’s industry knowledge and excellent relationship-building skills mean he’s going to be a great success in his new role and that we’ll see some really positive results.”
