Telus Health has launched Telus Health Wellbeing.
The service aims to provide working individuals in the UK with personalised and flexible workplace health benefits plans. Employers can offer their employees proactive and preventative health solutions, focusing on their physical, mental, and financial health.
The service, integrated into existing health benefits programs, emphasises personalisation, flexibility, and digital support. It offers integration with 300+ wearable health devices, including Apple Health, Google Fit, Fitbit, Garmin, and more.
This provides employees with personalised digital tools and resources for their well-being journey, including real-time health risk assessment, goal setting and activity tracking, overall health measurement with a wellbeing score, collaboration tools for sharing tips and ideas, and access to informative articles and videos covering various health aspects.
Additionally, Telus Health Wellbeing complements the company’s existing total health services, such as EAPs, virtual care, virtual pharmacy, and mental health counselling, which currently serve 67 million individuals worldwide.
According to the Telus Mental Health Index report for April 2023, employers face an annual cost of £150bn due to productivity losses related to personal and family health issues, equating to £1,000 per employee.
Additionally, 60 per cent of employees experience anxiety symptoms and 56 per cent report symptoms of depression.
