Aon has appointed Jit Parekh as a partner in its UK-defined contribution (DC) team.
Parekh has been advising trustees and corporations for more than 12 years. In his previous position, he oversaw advising and fiduciary duties for DC customers as the DC team leader at Schroders Solutions, where he most recently worked.
He moved into a more general role, helping with the creation of proposals and looking into strategic chances for defined benefit and DC plans both overseas and at home.
Before joining Isio and focusing on DC prospects, such as dealing with DC trust and master trust clients, Parekh started his career at WTW as an investment consultant.
Aon senior partner and head of DC consulting Ben Roe says: “As DC pensions become the main retirement vehicle for the UK population, we are inevitably seeing expansion in the market, requiring fresh solutions and thinking to build a more resilient workorce.
“Jit Parekh has joined us at this key time in the market’s development. I’m sure our clients will soon be benefiting from his wide and excellent knowledge and experience.”
Aon partner Jit Parekh says: “The DC market continues to grow and evolve at pace. However, there remains a real issue around retirement income adequacy. It is therefore critical that corporates and trustees look to deliver strong outcomes for members.
“I’m joining a market-leading team at Aon which is strongly positioned to help clients make better decisions on these challenges – and I’m looking forward to building on the team’s successes in driving best-in-class investment solutions.”
