Aegon UK has appointed Alison Morris as its new chief risk officer.
Morris joined Aegon in 2019 as chief internal auditor and admember of the executive team, reporting directly to Aegon UK CEO Mike Holliday-Williams.
Morris will take on the new role from August 4, subject to regulatory approval. She replaces Colin Black who has been acting chief risk officer since Jim Ewing was appointed at chief financial officer in January this year.
Morris is a trained actuary and has held a number of senior risk management roles within the financial services industry, including head of internal audit and head of capital & risk appetite oversight at Lloyds Banking Group.
Holliday-William says Morris has delivered “strong insight into both our industry and strategy” since joining Aegon. He adds: “[She] has been integral to providing the management team and the board with assurance of the robust risk management controls in place within our governance structure.”
