Capita Pension Solutions Limited, part of Capita plc, has appointed Andrew Darfoor as non-executive chairman following the departure of  non-executive director (NED) and chairman Babloo Ramamurthy.

Darfoor has three decades of expertise as a NED, CEO, and adviser in the insurance, pensions, and employee benefit sectors. His experience in the financial services industry spans four continents, with leadership roles in Europe, North America, Asia, and Africa.

Darfoor will bring his established track record in leading global teams and developing organisations to his role as chairman of the regulated board, which will be based in the UK, with a deep understanding of financial services and Capita’s pension business.

Capita Pension Solutions says Darfoor’s appointment as chairman will bolster its commitment to implementing the company’s digital delivery and growth goals.

Capita Pension Solutions managing director Stuart Heatley says: “I am delighted to welcome Andrew as Chairman of our regulated board. Andrew has exceptional knowledge of the pensions industry and will bring his 30 years of experience across financial services to help make pensions simpler and more sustainable for all.

“Andrew and I share a passion for delivering a frictionless service experience for clients and members, and I look forward to working closely with him to deliver our long-term growth strategy to focus on administration, consulting, and data and remediation services.”
