Dipa Mistry Kandola has been promoted to the position of CEO, effective immediately.

Mistry Kandola has been promoted from the role of client strategy director to managing director and now to CEO. She has been with Cloud8 since September 2020 and has 18 years of experience in the EB industry.

Ian Rummels, Cloud8’s previous CEO, will take on the role of the founder to focus on the company’s innovation and large relationships. The changes in senior leadership come as the company seeks to transform the way small and medium-sized businesses in the UK provide employee benefits, by leveraging exciting new technology and digital platforms that have previously been out of reach and budget for them. Cloud8 says its goal is to make it possible for advisors, intermediaries, and employee benefits consultants (EBCs) to provide intelligent, affordable digital benefits to their clients in a completely new way.

Mistry Kandola says: “2021 was a great success for us and with new hires at all levels, as well as gaining additional investment and clients. I am thrilled to be able to now step into the role of CEO and take the business to the next stage – moving from a successful start-up to a well-established scale up. We now have the whole team in a really good place with a varied demographic and skill set, whilst having a shared vision for our business. We’re excited to also be gaining further investment, widening our portfolio of products for advisors and have recently signed more clients and partners to go digital.

“From a personal perspective, I’m thrilled that my dedication to digital employee benefits is being recognised. Starting out all those years ago in a traditional benefits/pensions industry where consulting was “king” and tech was the “new kid on the block” that many were unsure about – it’s amazing to see the industry realise that tech needs to take centre stage in order to knit advisor’s consulting services together and retain key client and employee relationships – even more so over the last 2 years.”

Cloud8 founder Ian Rummels says: “This second step up for Dipa is a true testament to her hard work within Cloud8 and also her dedication to digital benefits as a whole. For years she has helped lead the way with digital products and her insights have allowed Cloud8 to achieve some commendable milestones, in what is only a short space of time. The energy, creativity and drive which Dipa brings to the table gives me complete confidence that we will reach our goal of bringing true digital benefits to the masses.”
