Corporate Adviser won a brace of awards at the Willis Towers Watson Media Awards yesterday, with wins in both the publications and individual journalist categories.
Corporate Adviser was named Pensions Publication of the Year, while editor John Greenwood was named DC Pensions Journalist of the Year, in a virtual ceremony held yesterday.
The awards programme consists of seven topic-specific journalism categories and four publication of the year titles all judged by expert panels, which include senior industry figures and leading journalists.
The judging panel for the DC Pensions Journalist of the Year award said: “This year’s winner was described as having a campaigning aspect to their journalism that has helped to drive change in the industry. Gathering impressive volumes of master trust data from across the market to produce the most comprehensive analysis of performance available has played a very important role in the DC industry.”
The panel for the Pensions Publication of the Year award said: “The winner was praised for its campaigning style and commitment to taking on detailed market analysis where it feels it is lacking in the industry.”
Nicolas Aubert, head of Great Britain, Willis Towers Watson, said: “In today’s challenging times, the need for good journalism has never been greater, so we are pleased to recognise these individuals for their outstanding work. These awards, whether they’re held in person or virtually, allow us to celebrate exceptional talent, which was present in so many of the submissions we saw this year. Congratulations to all of our winners and highly commended journalists.”
