Healix has launched a new digital healthcare solution for SMEs, designed to offer a low-cost option to private healthcare pathways and what it terms ‘essential’ treatment.
This Healix ConneX solution – available through Healix app – will offer three options to employers. The ‘Lite’ package includes a virtual 24/7 GP service and mental health assessments. Meanwhile the Healix Triage option provides access to additional benefits including musculoskeletal assessments, a wellbeing platform to improve health, sleep and manage stress, cancer care support and MyGym discounts. Employers which to take up the ConneX Care option will also be able to offer workers face-to-face physio and mental health consultations.
Once employees have received a diagnosis, they will either be able to access further support and advice through the platform or will be referred to external NHS services to receive additional care if necessary.
Healix says this launch comes at a time when CIPD research shows workers are taking more sick days than at any time in the last decade.
Healix Health CEO Ian Talbot says:“With the healthcare sector under immense pressure, and with businesses of all sizes continuing to navigate economic pressures, it is essential that affordable wellbeing support is available to reduce sick days and potentially contribute to increased workforce productivity.
“Through working with firms to offer cost-effective packages to suit their business, access to healthcare isn’t limited to senior employees and extends healthcare support to all.
“Our recent data has shown a surge in employee demand for virtual GP services as access to primary care is becoming increasingly challenging. We’re thrilled to be able to offer this solution at a time when recruiting and retaining staff through having a solid wellbeing strategy in place is a key priority for firms in 2024.”
