Hymans Robertson has promoted Laura Blackwood, Robert McInroy, Samer Hafiz, Simon Mortimer, Shirley Brown and Victoria Rolfe to partner.

Blackwood has worked with Hymans for more than 13 years, starting as a graduate trainee in the actuarial division. She has spent the previous five years in the Insights and analytics team, where she has been responsible for the team’s operations and people, with a particular focus on diversity and inclusion. Blackwood is a member of the Glasgow team.

McInroy joined Hymans Robertson’s Glasgow office in 2007 and is located there. McInroy is presently head of clients and markets, managing our public sector commercial strategy and supporting great client service, in addition to his job as fund actuary to a number of LGPS Funds.

Hafiz joined the firm in 1999 as a graduate trainee and is responsible for PPF consulting, company accounting, and any new professional or technical issues. He is a scheme actuary and the chair of the firm’s actuarial risk group. Hafiz is a member of the London team.

Mortimer joined Hymans Robertson in 2020 and he is the firm’s chief digital officer, in charge of technology and software. Mortimer is a member of the management team and is crucial in maintaining the company’s culture as it expands. He is based in the London office.

Brown joined Hymans as the third-party administrator (TPA) operations leader in 2019. Brown has been involved in adjusting the firm’s operating approach to ensure continuing quality service. Brown is a member of the Glasgow team.

Rolfe joined the firm as a graduate in the actuarial private team 13 years ago and has worked in a variety of areas within the business area. She is the current IRM and financing lead, as well as a people leader and scheme actuary. Rolfe is based in the firm’s London office.

Hymans Robertson senior partner John Dickson said: “As we move forward from celebrating our centenary last year, the world around us is constantly evolving.  Our success and sustainability rely on our partners being skilled leaders in their specific areas and embracing the highly collaborative one-firm approach that’s the beating heart of our firm.

“These new Partners have clearly and passionately demonstrated these attributes, showing real strength and suitability for leadership, and I’m thrilled to see them promoted.  They represent a diversity of backgrounds, skills and expertise that will support our strategy and continued growth across the firm, from pensions, insurance and financial services through to our digital expertise.”
