Hymans Robertson has recently achieved B Corp certification and is now a member of the B Corp Movement.
The B Corp certification recognises companies for upholding stringent requirements for verifiable performance, accountability, and openness. These requirements cover many different topics, such as employee perks, charitable giving, supply chain procedures, and input materials.
Hymans Robertson had to perform very well in five key categories to win this coveted award: governance, workers, community, environment, and customers. High standards were required in each of these areas due to the stringent verification process.
Hymans Robertson partner Gill Tait says: “Becoming a B Corp is a real milestone for us and a positive affirmation of our credentials as a purpose-led firm. We’re thrilled to now be part of B Corp’s global community of purpose-driven businesses working together to transform the global economy to benefit all people, communities, and the planet.
“We’ve worked hard to gain the certification which aligns clearly with our firm’s Purpose – ‘Together, building better futures’, and the wider philosophy of our partnership. Today’s announcement is the culmination of a long-term belief that our business can be a force for good and positively impact our people, clients, communities and the environment.
“Gaining the certification is a great achievement, but it’s just the start of our B Corp journey and we certainly won’t be resting on our laurels. By certifying, we step into a framework for ongoing improvement to continually demonstrate we still meet B Lab’s standards. So, we’ve lots more planned to continue our progress across each of the areas that have contributed to us becoming a B Corp.”
