Independent Governance Group (IGG) has promotions Dan Gilmour and Michael Do to the role of trustee director.

This is part of a wider shake up at the independent trustee business as it continues to expand. The firm has promoted 17 staff to more senior role, while also making 11 new hires in the past two months.

Both Gilmour and Do has joined IGG in 2022. Gilmour  has previously worked as a specialist employer covenant adviser. Do has over 20 years’ experience in pensions, 14 of which were spent working for two of the UK’s largest occupational pension schemes.

IGG has also promoted accredited trustees Collette Taylor, Lewis Drew, Maria Keen and Stephanie Jenner to the role of associate director. The promotions also see Andrew McCarthy, Chris Tabersham and David Preston promoted to trustee manager; Richard Haslam to senior associate; Adam Whitehead, Ceri Tracey, Keira Neale and Nick Bird to associate.

IGG also welcomed 11 new joiners in May and June in both client facing and central services roles.

During its second year of operations, IGG has established a regional presence in both Manchester and Edinburgh. It has also expanded its service offering with the launch of IGGnite and IGGiQ.

Last week it won the award for Best DC Independent Trustee at Corporate Adviser’s annual awards.

IGG chief executive officer Andrew Bradshaw says: “This latest round of promotions shows the dedication of the team, demonstrating each individual’s commitment to professionalism and development. Their contributions to IGG and our clients are greatly valued.”
