Isio has appointed Matthew Cooper as a director of the covenant solutions team.
Cooper will lead covenant advisory services with Isio partner Paul Geeson out of the Edinburgh office. He joins a team of covenant and transactions advisers, who support sponsors and trustees with covenant strength.
Prior to joining Isio Cooper led PwC’s pension and employer covenant and restructuring division in Scotland. He currently serves as the chair of the ICAS pensions panel.
Geeson says: “Matthew is an innovative and effective adviser with extensive covenant experience advising trustees and corporates on all areas of employer covenant, restructuring and transactions. We’re delighted to welcome Matthew into the team.”
Cooper says: “I’m excited to join Paul and the wider Covenant Solutions team at Isio. New legislation, regulatory guidance and changes to the economic environment can make managing covenant relationships complex, but I’m passionate about finding pragmatic solutions for both sponsors and trustees.”
