Lifepoint Healthcare has concluded its acquisition of Protect Your Health UK’s healthcare portfolio.
Lifepoint has taken over the Leicestershire based health insurer’s healthcare portfolio following its decision to focus on its risk and protection business.
Lifepoint managing director Isaac Feiner says: “I am delighted we have been able to successfully conclude negotiations to acquire the private medical insurance and health cash plan portfolio of Protect Your Health UK.
“The acquisition compliments our plan is to continue our organic growth coupled with key strategic acquisitions of businesses and portfolios which are the right cultural fit for Lifepoint Group and where the owners are looking to exit the market for whatever reason. Our proposition is to ensure we add value for clients as well as adding premium income to Lifepoint.
“We are already engaged in conversations with other individuals and firms which we are hopeful can be successfully concluded leading to further acquisitions in due course. We are hugely positive about the opportunities in the private healthcare sector which are being driven in part by the announcement of NHS waiting list for treatment of more than 5.6 million people.”
