Maxis Global Benefits Network has strengthened its business development leadership team with a number of appointments covering the US, Canada and Latin America.

Maxis GBN, an international employee benefits joint venture between MetLife and Axa, says these follow from the appoint of Paul Lewis to the role of global head of business development last year.

The company has promoted Larry Howley, Julie Nye and Lauren Kelly to be regional managers, and all will join the buisness development leadership team.

They join Erica Sebastianutti, who has been with Maxis since July 2021 as the regional manager for the south and mid-Atlantic regions.

Maxis GBN says these appointments follow strong growth in the  Americas region from multinationals and large corporates looking to optimise the delivery of their employee benefits programmes.

Howley and Nye will be regional managers for the northeast region. Howely has over 10 years’ experience in global employee benefits, holding roles across financial management, global underwriting and business development

As well as her responsibilities in the northeast, Julie Nye will also look after the west and Latin America regions. Nye has more than 20 years’ experience in global insurance, most recently as the Americas lead for the Maxis GBN Underwriting team.

Kelly will cover the mid-west and Canada region. She has seven years’ expertise working with multinational clients to implement global employee benefits programmes.

Lewis says these internal appointments will help the company focus on long-term sustainable growth across  the Americas, which remains the company’s largest market in terms of client scope, sophistication and premium written.

Maxis GBN works in partnership with over 250 multinational clients to deliver employee benefits risk management services and solutions.  It has approximately 140 local insurance partners with specialist capabilities in over 120 markets. These local insurers currently cover over 5.5 million employees worldwide.
