Mercer Marsh Benefits (MMB) has partnered with Make A Difference to create a new digital workplace mental health training course.

The new course is intended to make it easier for employees globally, regardless of industry, to look after their mental health and that of their coworkers. The e-learning course emphasises the basic symptoms of common mental health issues as well as how to recognise early warning signs.

The series is designed for flexible workplaces where employees can access material wherever and whenever they choose. Modules draw on neuroscience and positive psychology, and they’re all delivered in bite-sized 10-12 minute chunks.

The mental health training programme was developed with the help of well-known celebrities, athletes, and supermodels and comprises of four short digital sessions that focus on resilience, empathy, self-care, and workplace engagement while highlighting crucial aspects of mental wellbeing.

Mercer Marsh Benefits partner and leader of workplace health consulting Dr Wolfgang Seidl says: “For many employees, mental health has come under enormous strain, and providing support in this area remains a critical priority for employers. We have been working on something very exciting with Make A Difference to defeat the stigma around mental health and build a culture of wellbeing at work.

“I’m pleased that with our new digital training course, millions of people across the globe will have access to our jargon-free and engaging programme to gain a better foundational understanding of mental health in the workplace.”

Make A Difference founder Simon Berger says: “I’m delighted that Mental Health Awareness for All is now available for all employers across the globe. The entire team at Make A Difference are proud to have played a vital role in this incredibly important programme and look forward to welcoming clients to be part of this global movement to change workplace wellbeing.”
