New Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has delayed the announcement of a much anticipated economic plan to repair the country’s public finances until November 17.
The Medium-Term Fiscal Plan was originally scheduled for October 31. Sunak says that it will be supported by a full forecast from the Office for Budget Responsibility.
Therefore, the plan won’t be available prior to the November 3 meeting of the Bank of England’s monetary policy committee (MPC), which sets interest rates.
