Fintech pensions provider Smart has made two new appointments to its board of directors.
Stephen Morana, who was previously chief finance office at both Zoopla and Betfair, joins as an independent non executive director, as does Karen Roberton, global head of consultant sales at JP Morgan.
Smart chair Ruston Smith says these appointments would help the company, now it was expanding at pace and looking to enter new strategic markets.
“Both bring an expertise and talent that will help guide Smart through the next phase of its development and their advice and counsel will be crucial in helping steer the business to the next level.”
Smart, which launched in 2014, says it welcomed Morana’s experience working with high growth, technology-enabled businesses, and a number of successful IPOs. Meanwhile Roberton has extensive experience in the pensions industry, having worked for 25 years at JP Morgan in client-facing roles, working with both DB and DC schemes and their advisers.
