Mobius Life will now provide the investment platform for Smart Pension’s £5bn assets under management, under the terms of a new strategic partnership between the two firms.
Smart says this partnership will connect its ambitious growth plans with Mobius’ portfolio administration technology to drive the next phase of its investment strategy.
Smart currently has around 1.4m members in its pension scheme. It says this new technology will give it the flexibility it needs to expand further, while also helping it meet its 2040 net zero target by offering more innovative public and private market investments and solutions.
Mobius Life offers institutional investment platforms, allowing clients to develop bespoke investment solutions, which includes access to private market assets.
Smart Pension chief investment officer Paul Bucksey says: “This partnership will contribute to our growth strategy in the UK as well as bringing flexibility and enhancements to our market-leading investment proposition.
