Stoneport, the DB pension consolidator scheme from Punter Southall, has appointed Margaret de Valois as a new senior consultant.
De Valois is a qualified actuary who has previously worked at Western Pensions, Star Actuarial Futures, Schroders and Mazars, where she was head of pensions and led a team offering implementation of corporate pension solutions for smaller businesses.
She is also the independent chair of the pensions governance committee at IMERYS in Cornwall where she is based.
In her new role she will be responsible for driving business growth for Stoneport and advising clients through the consolidation process.
De Valois says Stoneport offers a “highly innovative” consolidation solutions for smaller DB schemes who are looking to reduce running costs, regulatory pressures and administration.
Stoneport chief executive Richard Jones said de Valois was a talented actuary who had a proven track record of building pension consultancy practices.
