Vitality has introduced a new ‘health profile’ on its products, to help members better understand their current health and the steps they can take to improve it.
This new digital profile replaces Vitality’s current ‘health review’. The new system utilises a new architecture using a streamlined set of health questions.
Members will now only answer questions on their height, weight and waist measurements, whether they smoke and if they have any long-term health conditions — alongside questions on their current activity levels and mental wellbeing.
These questions have been designed and reviewed by Vitality’s clinical, behavioural, and data-science experts. Once a member has set up this profile, they can view health risks as well as looking at recommended steps need to improve or maintain their overall health.
This new profile also employs a traffic light system, to highlight areas that members can focus on that will have the biggest positive impact on overall health.
Vitality says the new system is quicker for members to complete and should give clearer guidance on the steps needed to improve or maintain a healthy habits..
Vitality director of health strategy Katie Tryon says: “Each of us is individual and by inputting into the Health Profile, we’re able to give each person recommendations and the changes that would be the most beneficial to their health.
“The updates we’ve made make it easier than ever before for our members to transform their health now and in the future.”
