WPA is giving all corporate, SME and retail customers access to a new remote GP service.

This service will be provided by Medical Solutions, and will give customers access to a video consultations and a GP helpline, both of which can be accessed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

In addition it will offer a private prescription service and specialist referrals if required

This new service will be available over the coming weeks at no additional costs to companies. WPA staff will also be able to access this remote GP service.

In addition, WPA is also authorising telephone consultations with specialists and therapists to help customers access the benefits of their WPA cover. Members can access this GP service without making a claim on their plan.

WPA director of corporate Brian Goodman says: “Remote GP services are so important in this day and age for patients and customers to quickly and conveniently access the quality care that they need.  More so today, alleviating pressure upon doctors and NHS facilities, creating viable and effective alternatives to face to face consultations.

Medical Solutions commercial director Paul Nattrass says: “Our remote GP service can be used by members at any time, both independently or when claiming under their healthcare plan, and provides convenient, simple access to the primary care solutions people need, whenever they need it.”
