Zedra is expanding its pensions operations into Scotland by appointing Douglas Hogg as a new client director.
Douglas, who will be based in Edinburgh, has over 20 years’ experience in the pensions and investment industry, working for global asset managers, a bulk purchase annuity provider and as an actuary providing advice to trustees and corporate sponsors of pension schemes.
Zedra Governance managing director Kim Nash says: “As the independent trustee market continues to evolve, the importance of having people who understand local markets, and a permanent presence within them, is increasingly important.
“We have offices throughout the UK, but this is our first appointment in Scotland, which is a hub for the UK pension fund market.”
She added the company would continue to expand. “As we continue to grow our footprint in various regions, we look for talented individuals who not only possess the technical skill necessary to perform their duties to a very high standard, but also who have the people skills to understand different cultures and adapt their approach accordingly.”
